Right to Information (RTI) Act,2005-Disclosure
The Right to Information Act, 2005, enacted by the Parliament of India and brought into force on 15 June 2005, provides citizens the right to access information held by public authorities to promote transparency and accountability.

FOR SEEKING INFORMATION
Any information, the disclosure of which is not prohibited under any prevailing law and which pertains to the public affairs of KCC Institute of Technology and Management, shall be accessible to the public. Such information may be obtained from the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the College by submitting a written application requesting the same.
All applications submitted under the provisions of the Right to Information Act must clearly mention the full name and complete postal address of the applicant, along with precise particulars of the information sought, including relevant references, if any. Requests for information may be submitted in Hindi or English. In cases where an applicant is unable to submit a written request, assistance may be sought from the Assistant Public Information Officer to reduce the oral request into writing.
Applications may be submitted either by post or in person at the Administrative Office of the College during official working hours.
Each application must be accompanied by a prescribed fee of Rs. 10/- along with documentary proof establishing that the applicant is a citizen of India. In cases where the volume of information requested is substantial, an additional fee of Rs. 2/- per page for A4 -sized sized documents and the actual cost for copies in larger formats shall be payable by the applicant prior to the release of the information.
The prescribed fee under the RTI Act may be remitted through a Demand Draft, Banker’s Cheque, or Indian Postal Order payable to “KCC Institute of Technology and Management.” Applicants falling into the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category shall be exempted from payment of the application fee as well as any additional charges for providing the information, subject to submission of valid proof.
TIMEFRAME FOR RESPONSE
The College shall endeavor to respond, in accordance with and as per RTI Act 2005, within a reasonable period (normally 30 days), depending upon the nature and volume of the information sought. Delays, where unavoidable, shall not create any statutory liability.
